PHARR, Texas (6/24/2009) - RGV Bravos FC will hold two soccer camps this summer in June and July for children 5 to 13 years of age, the first in team history.
The Blue-and-Gold’s first camp will be held from June 29 to July 2 at Valley View High School Stadium in Hidalgo. The second camp will take place from July 13-16 at the Brownsville Sports Park. Both camps will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 11:30 a.m. from Monday through Thursday.
Bravos FC Brazilian Technical Director Ismael “Moreira” Braga and Assistant Coach Javier “El Gato” Navarrete will direct the soccer camps, and be assisted by several Bravos FC players.
“Moreira” Braga played on legendary international soccer clubs Botafogo, Flamengo and Santos, and was a member of the Brazilian National Team from 1967 to 1970. Coach “Moreira” played alongside other famed soccer players such as Pelé, Zico, Jairzinho, Zé Carlos and Paulo César.
Instruction will focus on ball control, passing, shooting, finishing, vision and technique.
Players will receive a T-shirt, water bottle and ticket to a RGV Bravos FC USL Premier Development League game. Campers are required to dress in appropriate attire including shorts and shin guards. The cost per player is $100.
