McALLEN, Texas (8/31/2009) - Four RGV Bravos FC players strutted their stuff in the name of raising money for scholarships Saturday in the McAllen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s style show held at the Embassy Suites hotel.
Bravos FC leading goal scorer Salvador Luna and defenders Edgar Coria, Oscar Aguirre and Pablo Degollado represented the Blue-and-Gold by modeling the latest styles of men’s wear on the catwalk, and afterward helped raise money for scholarships by being auctioned off to the highest bidder.
"The Bravos are always more than happy to help out for a worthy cause and when it comes to our youth’s education, well it’s at the top of our priority list," said Miguel Puente, Bravos FC General Manager.
The Blue-and-Gold is currently practicing at the Springfest Soccer Fields in McAllen on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 6-7:30 p.m.
Bravos FC is also in the process of recruiting players for its first reserve squad. The list of Bravos FC Reserves will be announced during the week of Sept. 7.
