WESLACO, Texas (9/21/2009) - RGV Bravos FC Technical Director Ismael “Moreira” Braga was the special guest in the opening ceremonies of the Mid Valley Youth Soccer Club’s 2009 Fall season held at Weslaco City Park.
Coach "Moreira" Braga, who played for legendary Brazilian sides Flamengo, Botafogo and Santos, and was a member of the Brazilian National Team, was applauded by the hundreds of parents and children that attended the MVYSC’S opening ceremonies.
"Moreira" personally greeted each player that participated in the event and afterward took photos with the teams, players and parents.
"It’s really nice to be a part of things like this," said "Moreira" Braga. "It’s all about the kids and the community, and being able to give a little back to them."
The MVYSC, which caters to boys and girls 4-12 years old, play two seasons per year. The Fall 2009 season lasts four months (September-December). The Spring season starts in April 2010.
